While recently blogging about a random Cubs pitcher, Pat Perry, I became immersed in articles from 1988 and 1989. Paul Kilgus was acquired via trade from the Texas Rangers in December 1988 as part of the Rafael Palmeiro deal. As of February 15, 1989 Kilgus had not yet signed for the upcoming season.
